The “Fête du Labo”, or “Faites de la Science à l'ICS”, took place on July 3rd, bringing together the Institute's staff and combining conviviality with scientific presentations.
The morning began with a presentation by the non-permanent committee. This was followed by a poster session in the cafeteria, combining free coffee and rich scientific discussions. To round off the morning, the bravest 2nd-year PhD students presented their theses as an adaptation of the famous “Ma Thèse en 180 secondes” format.
The MT180 winners were announced... 1st place Sakina Mammadova, 2nd place Luca Fiorucci, 3rd place Lou-Ann Accou.
Man is a creature of habit, and yet the traditional méchoui was replaced by a barbecue that all the laboratory staff shared in the shelter of the elements on the institute's parking lot.
And it was with a full belly that the staff took part in the games organized by the BJC. The program included games based on the five senses: hearing, taste, smell, sight and touch.
